I will make this short. I got one when they came out as the Vision. Took it to some beat out places that have been hit by me and everyone in VA for 30 years and still pulled deep bullets out. I dig larger than coil sized holes when testing a new machine and dig the last 5" OR SO with a stick so I can find the target still in tact in solid ground without hitting it with a metal knife. All places I went resulted in bullets as deep as 14" measured not guesstamites, bullets 10" pointing straight down and 9" pointing straight up which is really tough to hit since metal detectors are surface area detectors. I only have used High pro, boost on, and gain and sens. close to maxed out. Some issues with EMI in one area but still diggin deep. Just when I was getting the hang of it hot weather stopped me. Now that it is cooling down will be back and will post some results. The coils went out on my fist one and White's replaced the whole unit which speaks volumes of the company. I am actually at the beach now on the OBX of NC and the V3 worked well. Not the deepest I have ever dug on the beach but very respectable depth to 10 or 12" in black sand and that was my fist time using it. I truely think there is unlimited potential with this detector but it will take some time to learn how to use it under all conditions. My first time out relic hunting in High pro produced as deep of targets as I have ever found with any detector and after 36 years I have tried them all. I love the quality of White's machines and there warranty and service is unmatached period. Now all I need to do is have the V3 perform in hot VA soil where the Diggin in VA hunts are and it will be the most versitle machine made. The other thing I noticed is how sensitive it is to small targets and lower conductors like brass. I am convinced if I ever find a gold coin it will be with this machine. I am finding targets the size of the lead on a pencil. My other muti-freq.machines do well on silver and bullet type targets but fall short on small and brass items. I noticed right away how the V3 hits and small and lower conductors and will not miss anything. I dug a spencer cartridge over 14" deep in Sandy soil on the side of a trench that I could not believe how deep it was. Well, so much for short, LOL
