Tom, I knew it was a tough request when I made it, but I also knew that if anyone could offer advice on it, it would be you guys. I haven't seen the kind of expertise that exists on this board anywhere else. Bob has a recommendation on a Minelab Sovereign that I'm going to follow up, since I've heard before just how good a machine they were. Also, that fact that you can belt mount the unit means that the weight factor can be mitigated. I had an F75, just over a year ago and no one can convince me to try them again. I went through two units and wasted a summer trying to get it work the way I needed. Any unit that has that much trouble with EMI is not for me. Perhaps they've gotten better, but I'm not taking that chance again, anytime soon.
