Since it would seem that one of the last frontiers in relic hunting and searching for old coins just might be a small coil and some kind of TID (tone, meter, or digital readout). What would constitute the best (say top three) detectors for this kind of hunting? Are any of the detectors coming out with that unique SEF-type configuration in a smaller coil? Seems one of the coils in a small (say 6"X8") size would give great separation and depth.
