You know, this wood business is getting to the point where it annoys me almost as much as wine descriptions do.
I'm not putting you down, Norm; I appreciate many of your insights.
But some of these descriptions of the audio characteristics of types of wood are just so far over the top. A particular wood may have a distinctive characteristic but it would only be fair to compare it to another wood that is in an instrument constructed in the same manner as far as bracing and overall design. The wood is only one piece of what makes an instrument sound as it does.
