Hi Folks,
The new Martin Grand J12-40E Special 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar is Martin's entry into the jumbo 12-string body-style. I'm wondering how this guitar's playability with its slightly narrower fingerboard width (1-13/16") and modified low oval neck compares to the playability of a Taylor 12-string guitar's fingerboard width of 1-7/8" with Taylor's 12-string neck profile? Taylors are generally felt to be very easy-playing 12-string guitars but maybe this new Martin Grand J12-40E 12-string will feel better and play easier for many players.
Has anyone played the new Martin Grand J12-40E Special and what are your feelings about its playability and tone compared to a recent-model Taylor 855ce 12-string guitar?
Folk On!
Ken
