Hi Norm,
You're almost there on the HD-28! The regular HD-28 has Standard X Scalloped bracing. NOW, ready for this? The HD-28V as in V for Vintage, has Standard X Scalloped forward-shifted braces. D-18V vs. D-18, same thing. Okay, so where does the Adirondack Spruce Top with Adirondack Spruce scalloped X forward-shifted bracing come into play? Only in the Golden Era/Marquis and Authentic Series Martins--these are Grandpappy Festus's favorite Maa'ins because his father had a 1934 D-18 down to the faam in Lewbeach, New York, when Festus be a young'un.
Regarding your banjoing, keep on a pickin' and a grinnin'! More later.
Sierra Hull be a sweetie but what about that Kate Lee from the Rochester area? Be she one too?
Folk & Bumpditty-bumpditty-bumpditty On!
