Hi Folks,
As an aside to this HD-28 thread, I purchased one of these guitars in June 1977, at Stutzman's Guitar Center, here in Rochester, New York, when it was still on Jay Street (Norm remembers) and only open on Saturdays. This was my first-ever purchase from Da Stutz Man and I'm still with him. With the HD-28 Herringbone being released in late 1976 or early 1977 (first ads seen in Guitar Player Magazine in Spring 1977), this may have been one of the first ones here in Rochester. I still have my Martin Registration card and I'll check its Serial Number to see about when it was made.
