Sad news but one we all probably knew was coming given recent reports. Peter, Paul, and Mary were my introduction to folk music growing up in the 1970's especially through their PBS specials. I knew them long before I knew the Kingston Trio. I learned to play guitar from a folk music book that was filled with their songs. I know some Trio fans have issues with their popularity as the Trio's waned and with their over politics, but they always put on a good show and really held the torch for folk music, at least in the general public's consciousness,in the age where rock and roll dominated. I am sorry I never had the opportunity to see them live.
