I have a Shubb on my resonator as well but I'm not sure it was installed just right. The capo finger doesn't seem to me to be at the correct angle when snugged down. I need to get it checked out. I agree completly about the extra flash, who cares?
I have ordered a Shubb with my new Deering/Vega openback but am having second thoughts but more out of concern about drilling screw holes in the neck inlay. How many spikes do you use and at what fret positions? Have you ever had them pull out? Also is your folk banjo a std or long neck? I'm a novice at the banjo so all insight is really appreciated.
