in my opinion, goes to Vince Gill for his These Days cd. Actually, it should be RecordS of the Year since it's 4-cd's packaged for the price of a regular 2-cd set.
I've admired Gill for his musicianship and his practice of staying true to the music but this set is way beyond what I expected.
each disc has a different focus ranging from traditional country to acoustic. he's got some great players with him ranging in style from Diana Krall to Del McCoury and his Band to Guy Clark.
Highly recommended if you like traditional country music.
