DS2000 Quark

We have a DS2000, with 22button phones. Installed about 5 years ago. It has the latest updates. We have intramail but currently are not using it in this office application. We are using an outside answering system supplied by our local phone provider. (I need to get off my bottom and program that thing) We have four lines coming into the system. The fourth one installed around May of 2007.

Here is the quark. When anyone calls in on line one after two-three rings the outside vm service picks up, but the DS2000 holds line one as if its answered a call. Then after a few minutes our line four starts flashing green as if there is a message waiting, as if line one was transferred into line 4. We check line 4 for VM but there is only a bz signal, or nothing at all. We erase the message through phones prompts.

Anyone got any ideas on this one.
