i have worked with the DSX systems since the day they were released, and they are very simple to program. there a couple of terms that will throw you off when you look at the software but once you get those its all very simple. my personal recommendation is a DSX-40. out of the box it can handle your 4 lines and 8 extensions and voicemail. very simple in a very small package.
