How to call in to check voicemail?

We have an NEC Dterm 80 phone system. I am trying to figure out how to call in from an outside line and access the voicemailboxes. I need to be able to check my voicemail from my cell phone...I've done it before but can't remember how. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
