Door Chime

I plan to purchase a DSX-80 and install a 2PGDAD. We only need a chime, not an intercom. Could I just put a 150 ohm resistor in series with a push-button and hook it to the 2PGDAD? If so, how long would the chimes ring on a momentary button-push? If not, is there a practical way to implement a button with no speaker (we have very limited space at the door)?
