Retrieving Erased Messages on NEC DS1000/2000

I have a NEC DS1000/2000 w/ 4 lines. An employee erased a message this morning w/ an phone number we need is there anyway we are able to retrieve an erased message in the main system? All help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
