DSX 80 Programming

I'm an IT consultant trying to help a growing business move to a larger location. Their 3 person company has grown by 5 employees and will be adding a new NEC DSX 80 phone system. Programming phone systems is new to me. After reading the System Administrator's manual, I have a new appreciation for phone techs... Before buying tech support and losing "some" valuable credibility with my client (former employer),is there a sample database available that can help me configure their system. Also, Does anyone offer training on the various phone systems prevelent in corporate America. I would like to expand my knowlege base. We all have to re-invent ourselves in this messed up economy.
