I am desperately trying to fully clear this DSX system. We purchased a NEC DSX 80 system off eBay. Everything seems to work except that the system insists that the voicemail has security codes. I have tried all documented clear / reset procedures-
*updated system software to 2.25
*did "reset system" in system admin software
*did "initialize system" in system admin
*hold the reset button on the CPU board while power on
*hold reset button on CPU board while applying power
*pull the power and the coin battery, let clear and then power up again
*cut power, pull intramail card, apply power, let boot, cut power, install intramail card, let boot again
The documented procedures seem to clear everything EXCEPT the voicemail. Extension names are all reset, etc. When I press V-MAIL on the phone it responds "please enter your security code." I tried 0000, 1234, 9999, etc. etc. but nothing works.
There is nothing listed in the system administrator about vm security codes, no spot to set them or view them.
Please help in doing a COMPLETE CLEAR of the DSX settings including voicemail configuration.
