Posted by Labor Party on 8/9/2006, 1:02 pm Following the success of the last Labor Party CD release, Jughead’s was once again selected as the venue for this year’s release. This 21+ venue located at 5110 E. Mcdowell Rd in Phoenix has proven to be the top club in the valley for punk rock shows. Other bands performing the release show include: Reburn and the Skidmarks, Parkway Wretch, Vadoom, The Fed Ups, The Meat Dept. This release is the first since Labor Party recruited former Sam the Butcher and Balls drummer, Buck Ellis in 2005. Completing the line up are founding members Sharon Labor (Bass, Vocals) and Frank Labor (Guitar, Vocals). Frank, who in addition to fronting this explosive band also plays guitar with the legendary Jeff Dahl. The band will be embarking on an east coast tour in November that will take them from Boston to Baltimore and all points in between. As Arizona is becoming nationally known as a scorching spot for quality punk rock, enthusiasm swells for the newest release from Arizona’s own Labor Party. On September 2nd, 2006. Jughead’s will host the soft release of Labor Party’s fourth and filthiest Punk n’ Roll endeavor, “I Bleed” on Steel Cage records, (Phila. PA). The CD will be officially released and available worldwide on September 16, 2006. The CD was recorded at Beat Bum Studios, Phx, AZ and mastered by the renowned Pete Humphreys, Masterwork Recording Studios (Phila, PA)
Previous releases from the band include: Have Some (2002), Post No Bills, which is no longer available and Graffiti and Glass (2004).
