Hello Steve,
I read you article about DJ vs Band, and although I would agree that your band Oracle is very good and I would also recommend them to anyone I do not fall into any of the general remarks that you make. I would and could go head to head with any band. I have in fact worked at clubs that have sent home the band early due to the fact that the crowd enjoyed me more than the band. (Still having to pay the band the full amount on the contract) Equipment wise I would also challenge any band. I use Crown amps, JBL subs and mains and DBX and Rane processors, including a EQ along with intelligent lighting. I do not buy my music from "BEST BUY" but actually receive most directly from the record companies usually months before they are released. I am a Billboard reporting DJ. I also re-mix most of my music to make it uniquely mine. I know you did not mean any disrespect, as do I, but I just wanted your audience to know that THERE ARE DJs OUT THERE AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN A BAND.
