be wise to bring a backup mast to pistol river-bandon-florence-newport as there are no masts to buy if you snap one as the closest shop is hood river and no mags to buy if you break your last mast and have to sit around and need something to read--- and coast locals are smart enough not to loan out their spare mast.........
