Hey I resemble these remarks.
One of my favorite topics in fact (next to noting how silly kiters look when they waterski down the line too fast).
If I have a choice between driving to the rock for 3.7 or sailing the jetty on 4.7/4.2 I know where I'd be. I kind of like the rock on 4.7 floaty board light wind. I mean it aint the best place to sail DTL anyway so if it's light you can try new things or perfect old skills. Not to say that blasting around in high wind isn't fun (I love it too) but personally I learn more in lighter wind.
