Robert's parents are John A. Gillespy, d. 26 Oct 1864 in Wheeling, WV, and Mary Leitner, d. 13 Mar 1870 in Birmingham, PA. Thats as much as I currently know of them. Unfortunately I can't find the source of my info but I know it is accurate. I believe it was from the death record of either John or Robert that I researched in Wheeling. I also know that they lived in the same house in 1864 per that years city directory. Do you by any chance know of any siblings of Robert's. I believe my GG grandfather was a younger brother of his and was listed as residing with Robert in the 1867-1868 Wheeling city directory. That is why I am researching Robert and his family too.
