I am looking for my great aunt Josefa Schmuker or Schmucker. She in the Pittsburgh area. Josefa was born in Offingen, Bavaria, German in 1863. She died in 1914. She never got married.
Where did most of the Germans live in the Pittsburgh area or political ward back in the early 1900s?
According to my Schmucker relatives Josefa was murdered in 1914 in Pittsburgh. As far as they knew back in 1914 nobody was arrested. Where would I find this information?
The proceeds of her estate was sent to Wendelin Süß in Offingen. as far as I know the paper work is lost.
Josefa owned a house in Pittsburgh.
She worked in the financial district of Pittsburgh.
Any help would be appreciated.
