I'm here off and on. I've been terribly busy with family stuff and weith birdies and kitties and fishies. THe latest things isRainbow. I dont' know if she hurt her leg or got sciatica because she had an egg she was laying, but she couldn't walk, and couldn't FLY. I was so worried! It happened on a sunday of course, no vets available. BUt Monday and Tuesday she was much better. I know she fell, so I hope allit was was soreness. She's doing MUCH better, and laid the egg, and is resting comfortably. I tried keeping her in a carrier but she would have none of that, she wanted to be on the floor. SO I let her rest under some chairs, in a quiet place. tonight she is sleeping comfy on her perch, she got up there herself...I'm going to talk to the vet about hormone stuff, see if I can't stoip her fromlaying eggs. If the egg caused sciatica or some paralysis problem, she shouylnd't lay any more, for her health's sake. The vet says, sometimes these problems arise, the egg presses on the back and the kidneys, and causes trouble.
I hope that's not it, that Rainbow just had a tumble. I saw her tumbleoff a chair. I'm hoping she just bruised herself a bit. I'll have to take her in if she still can't fly though, even though her leg and all is better. I have to make sure it's not something else wrong....
