Hi, I was just searching the net for bird discussion forums and stumbled upon this one. I just adopted a 1 1/2 year old Cinnamon Pearl cockatiel. It's name is Vinny and we are calling it a he even though it's a she 
. I was just wondering if anyone on here has a cockatiel that is playful and loves to play with toys. This one sort of just sits there all day and doesn't do all that much. I realize that he is still getting used to his environment but I then realized that I actually have never seen a cockatiel play with toys other than to pook at them. Everyone always raves about how much they love their cockatiel and I was wondering what about them makes you love them so much. So far Vinny has a very sweet calm personality but threatens to bite and yells at me when I pat him. Still getting used to the place I assume so I'm taking it slow.
