Good Morning!
We have had some changes in our weather. Some of the week was great, up to 70's. Starting on Thursday a rain storm came down out of Alaska, giving us a good soaking. Without the wind, and with it having been just a good steady rain, it was welcome,
I've heard conflicting reports on the weekend, but there may be rain when the next one comes through, though perhaps not where I am. I see a forecast for rain a cpl of days early in the week, with days from high 50's to the 60's, with 60's to 70's again later in the week.
The part I don't like are the night temps, which will be low freezing, or a bit below that, for part of the time, due to the origin of the rain. That makes it hard to keep my plants warm enough through it, necessitates moving my lemon trees, most likely, and means working harder to keep the outside critters warm, and more use of our heater. Hopefully, when the rain stops coming through from the north, the night temps will even back out to the 40's, at the lowest.
I wasn't able to do much this week, except to move some names, addresses etc. over from one book to another. I will have to do more later, when I get a new book I'm expecting, but for now I'm happy to have it done.
I'm having yet another problem with being on my computer, other than health, this week. In case I disappear for a cpl of days, it could be the computer.
You might remember that my battery dies after less than 4 mins. Well, now there's a problem with my connection, I think, for the plug/power pack. If it's not that, then it's the back of my computer, when it actually plugs in, which is less good yet. I'm going to try a universal power pack today, hopefully.
The turkey's are hiding wherever it is that our county's turkey's hide each year at this time. It's a wonder that so many birds, who are so large, can literally disappear, but they do every year, just in time to thwart Thanksgiving turkey hunters!
We have had some critters come out of hiding with the rain, though. Our Pacific Giant salamanders, for one. We have to watch everyone's feet when it rains and we're walking the pups, for them. Today we even saw the cutest legless (it has legs.) lizard over in one of my bulb beds. Little guy, very cute.
How was your week?
