....I do miss a thick carpet underfoot myself, at least in part of the house, but between the critters and the yard, it just wasn't practical here, either.
Moving a lot of furniture in a room to do anything can be a put-off. I'm sure that one of these days you'll wake up motivated, though I don't envy you the task.
