.....the carpeting was a light beige, and needed replacing. I chose a small pattern mottled carpeting, which was all in the browns and beiges. The nice thing was, nothing showed on it, whether dark, or light. I was proud of that choice with 3 small children, a Dh who wore work boots, dogs and cats.
Unfortunately, no carpet could stand up to the amount of rain we have with a yard/forest which has little paving. Maybe if I'd not had children and pets, but I did. Still, as far as carpeting to hide every little thing, it did the trick!
Hardwood floors are beautiful!
