Yes, hardwood floors are beautiful. We had them when oldest dd was a baby, but it can only take so much without needing care. I don't think I'm up to it in this house, either.
However, if we ever get to build the house we've wanted/planned to since moving here (next to this one, up a hill.), I will be putting it in one room, I've decided.
In my plans there's a sunroom, and that room will have a wooden floor, since it will go well in there, and it will not be a high-traffic area. That's the plan, anyway! lol!
Other than that, I have to agree with the country living position!
