I think that there's just too much going on that's stressful right now, plus there are the shorter days. You had, and still have, legitimate concerns regarding several family matters, work related decisions, and the furkids. It's enough to make anyone feel down.
Online teaching is in it's infancy, because I think that it's the wave of the future, for better or worse.
If there's a way that you could do it as a sideline, it would give you a bit of experience with it, and I assume a little income?
Mind you, it depends on who you do it with/for. Some companies may be better than others.
But, if it works for you, might you be able to teach more online after that, even after retirement from a physical school?
I have seen 2 full schools that teach online, k-12, recently. I don't know how it works for the teachers, but it sounds like it has possibilities.
Some online classes are 2-way, with interaction.
I think that this would be great to get your feet wet, and see what you think about it overall.
The hardest part would be setting up your 'classroom.' But, it could be done... If you decide to try it, and you need any help with ideas, or items, let me know. I'd be happy to help however possible.
Do you have a full-spectrum bulb? It's not a cure-all, but it might help you to feel a little more comfortable during the shortest days of the year. Just place one in the lamp where you most often sit. You won't suddenly jump up and say, "Boy, do I feel better!" But, it helps in the background.
Speaking of making decisions for people...I told the guys today that I wish that they'd just put me in charge, and let me make all of the day to day decisions for them. You know - it's 10 A.M., call the tax guy, do your maps before laundry, move the plants after you talk to your Drs. office...lol! I see so much walking in circles lately, and just know that what order things are done in matters. But, did they take me up on it? Nope! lol!
It's been quite the year, hasn't it? I'm banking on 2019 being a little less...stressful.
I hope that you have a much better coming week!
