She explained that I was always so cheerful when ever she stopped by to drop off a package or stamps, etc. And wanted to thank me. I tried to tell her it was unnecessary but she interupted to give me a hug. We talked about the new check I needed to write. We both had a laugh over that.
She said she was so sorry that she was always in a rush. Talk about shock. This woman is younger then me by a decade or so. She needed to tell me so.
I told her it was just what I needed as well. That she was nice to stop by and have me rewrite a check for DD's box. I was over by 50 cents.
I go back & forth with the guys at the post office on the postage for the free UPSO boxes. When I check on line the price may be right or wrong. Drives me nuts.
We talked a bit more, she gave me another hug then got back in her car and left with a new check for DD's box. I was smiling when I walked back inside.
I told her I wouldkeep her in my thoughts and thanked her again then I asked her to keep Charlie in her thoughts as he is not doing well. She definately lifted my spirits.
I came back in to try and finish the paperwork I received Sat, which is a real pain. I hope Boy will get me some black ink for my printer. I have to make copies of a number of pages.
Anyway - I feel alot better. Please keep Mary in your thoughts, as she is a diligent and hard working Mail carrier and has always gone the extra mile for me.
Thanks P
