I won't say anything more about it. Some folks get grossed out about it. 8-)
Still haven't had enough rain to refill the lake. But another big severe storm is due tonight. Fingers crossed it's not to bad. But Sa and a number of other towns have gotten Baseball sized hail, road flooding etc.
I am afraid that the second river off my road has become a permament dry creek bed that is East of my house and runs pretty close to the chainlink between me and J&W. Thank goodness for all the oak leaves as they are so thick they build up along the fence and prevent flooding into their yard.
I have measured the depth of the leaves that are lining that my new river bed. They are a foot deep in some spots and 3 to 4 inches in others. Still they are a good buffer.
Plus the place where they leave my yard is in the lowest NE corner and the water washes in to a big empty grassy field. Whew! Thats a good exit from my place as both the driveway flow and the new yard flow join up in the back area and flow into the field.
All this rain has gotten things growing I haven't seen for at least 3 years. Grasses, bad weeds and wildflowers.
Yes the trash is such a relief. I am so grateful to him. I can't think how it will feel after all the recycling is gone. WOW!
The lake is the end of a river which is north of the lake. The whole waterway has been dry. Plus SA move the runoff to the lake so that they would get the water. A big mess.
Well I have to eat then go play cards. ROFLOL! This has been a really good week overall. I feel very blessed having all these people in my life.
Take care... may you all be well and may life be kind to you all. Hugs!
