Answer: The Macy's logo features a red star, and its origin can be traced back to a tatoo its founder, R.H. Macy received while working on a whaling ship as a teenager. Macy was lost at sea but used a star to guide him to shore. The star tattoo served as a constant reminder of the life-changing event, and would later serve as the inspiration for the corporate logo of his business. Macy moved to New York City in 1858 and established a new store named "R.H Macy Dry Goods." The enduring red star etched on his hand would soon serve as the logo of his new venture.

Lucy and Ricky Ricardo are characters from the television sitcom I Love Lucy, portrayed by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Much like Lucille Ball herself, her character Lucille McGillicuddy was born and raised in Jamestown, New York (per episode #138), to an American family of Scottish descent. The marriage between Scottish American Lucy and Latino Ricky marked the first appearance of a mixed marriage on an American TV show. I Love Lucy debuted in 1951, sixteen years before Loving vs. Virginia legalized all forms of interracial marriage in all 50 states.
