First, make sure that nothing is impeding the water flow, so that the rain can get away from your house, since that's a lot.
Second, do what you always do for emergencies, have your water, flash lights, emergency radios, etc.
It may scare the girls, so maybe 4th of July meds to keep them calm.
Put their coats, leashes, etc. in one place. If it really gets nasty, take them out on leashes. You don't want them getting loose during a storm. (Well, anytime, but especially a storm.)
If there's anything that can blow around, like trash cans, gardening tools, etc. put them in the garage.
If they think that there will be wind there, you might want to take down bird feeders...be careful with ladders!...so that they don't hit a window if they come loose.
Then, just stay warm and dry. We aren't having the weather, per se, but just the proximity has it gloomy out. It was 108 yesterday. Today, it's 82.
I know that in L.A. they've cancelled and closed pretty much everything. Nevada, which would normally be 115 is chilly. They had already had 1 1/2" of rain in L.A. about 3 hrs. ago.
Please stay safe, and let us know how you are doing.
