I have gotten bored watching my DVDs. That is usually hard to do for me. I am not interested in reading.
The AC the kids gave me is set to 75 + I can't believe the house is perfect. Not to hot nor to cold. I turn them all off at night and am keeping the filters clean. This place has never felt so comfortable. The temp is 85... and feels perfect.
A big improvement from a few weeks ago. Charlie and the cats are in heaven.
I just stepped outside to check my hummer ant wells as I had to add some more H20. Once I finished that I checked out my potted plants and realized there wasn't a thing moving. Not a leaf, nothing.
The sky is a sheet of grayish white. There had been a fantistic sunrise. I took a few photos so was suprised that to find the birds are all gone. The squirrels as well. I see no critters at all.
Hopefully the puppies and Mama that the neighbors have in a shed yard are now put away in the shed itself.
I have tried to call Boy to see if they are home - I hope not on the way to Houston. He finally called back and we talked about the Tropical Dpression that has covered Houston. They have to get their truck fixed tomorrow... so I asked that he NOT pick up boxes to day since storm is heading straight for SA. Its at an angle so the kids will get hit before I will as I live northwest outside
of SA and they live NE in SA.
His kids live in the coast area that is already in the worst of the TD. Thunder and Lightening and LOTS of rain.
Luckily I have no deliveries due today. Rather tomorrow while I play cards. I will leave the gate ajar for the delivery which is lots of critter needs.
I just checked the red area and the TD has pushed the storm closer to SA. DS's kids are now in the thick of the storm.
DD called me twice yesterday and I was relieved to learn they were sunny and no rain at all. There was no way to know if her job site is open today. There is no storm in CA right now. That I can see on the weather maps.
But there is TD Harold that is the storm hitting the lower portions of Texas. It may do damage in Mexico as well as the southern tip of Texas.
I just realized there are no fans on, none of the acs either. The house is stone quiet. Whoa! That is so weird. Charlie has curled up in his favorite Upholstered chair that he has been ingnoring for months due to the heat. LOL that is his favorite chair.
It is strange to have no sounds - wait I just heard the microwave. I put my coffee in to warm up. LOLOL!
I went out side to move my potted plants under the porch chairs and a small table. There has been so wind since I walked down to the mailbox and back. There was a slight touch of wind then that died down also.
I just saw a tiny sparrow land in the driveway. The bird seed is mostly eaten.
But I did glimpse that one or two of my wind chimes are stirring. Sorry I take that back as the lightest of my wind chimes are hardly moving. No leaves on my Red tips which are mostly dead. The Cedars are not moving and neither are the tops of the Oaks and other tall trees.
The Swallows, Cardinals and other birds are back in the driveway eating the seeds they didn't finish eating earlier.
I really hope we get rain... everything in my yard is dead or close to it. We legally can't water anything, yet my neighbors water their plants front and back. I have bottle water from last winter for flushing the toilet during a freeze. So am able to water my 6 tiny potted plants. I have them moved under my porch chairs and since the porch roof leaks they will get water automatically.
I just checked the radar for the TD that is heading our way. The kids will get rain sooner then I will and then it will be light according to the weather service.
OK off to fix breakfast?? Not sure what I want. Oh I can make some blueberry muffins. YUM!!!
Have a good day - hope your day is a good one.
Charlie just jumped up barking loudly and startled me. LOL Boy this place is quiet - 9-)
