After starting that adult mystery - as opposed to a young person's mystery - I finished it. It was a decent mystery, and I liked the fact that there was a cat and a dog in it. They didn't play huge roles in the story, but I'm pretty easy - if there's a pet in it at all, I enjoy it.
Now, I'm torn between 2 books.
One's set in a small village in England. There's a murder to be solved, and the main character is a female vicar - which I'd never heard of before.
The 2nd one is a retirement community in Florida, where the main character moved in with her grandmother when she was 11. When her grandmother passed away, she was raised by one of the grandmother's there, and kind of by the whole community. She now lives in her grandmother's house. This, too, is the solving of (an old) murder - if it's even a murder.
There's a neighbor's cairn terrier in the story - she dug up bones - and the main character has a soft coated wheaten terrier.
I'm leaning toward the Florida one.
How was your reading week?
