As for what you said, though, I think that everyone must do what suits their family best. Getting a dog from the same place you've gotten wonderful pets before just makes sense for you guys.
And a senior isn't right for everyone, either. With pups, older pups, and young adults, you definitely get the opportunity to have them with you for longer, if all goes well.
