Ruby is in the hospital with quite a myriad of symptoms - diarrhea, coughing, tremors, slight fever (103), disorientation, lack of coordination, very labored breathing, and lack of appetite. Believe it or not, everything except the diarrhea started in the wee hours of the morning. The loose stool started yesterday but I'd changed their food and assumed that's all that was bothering her. I took her in as usual for her demodex dip, which she has been tolerating well at 3/4 strength for 2 weeks now. This was her 3rd dip at 3/4 strength.
It's possible all this, except the diarrha, is a reaction to the dip. Dr. C administered a reversal agent in case the dip started everything. Ruby is staying at the clinic for bloodwork, possibly x-rays, and probably some time in an oxygen tent.
Whatever is going on with her is not good. She is miserable, and of course I'm very worried. Please pray for my little girl.
