I've had several dogs, both fosters and my own, who have gotten into raw pasta and snacked on it. Can you tell if he actually ate it, or just shredded it?
Sorry, no sympathy from this corner, just laughter as I recall similar messes here. Does it make you feel any better to know you're not alone?
