....do great with a dance studio, and I can see it becoming a career. A lot of people would love, I would think, to bring their dogs to a place where someone would help them get started dancing with their dogs.
And there could also be advanced classes for brushing teams up for competition.
I can really see the possiblities!
With borders, agility would be a natural, I'm sure.
Dock diving is very cool; I loved watching it! My dogs leap into the creeks and rivers, and would probably love it, also!
When I first moved here, 21 summers ago, I came from a place where it was never thought of to allow a dog off-leash, aside from inside one's own yard.
So when I got here, I was sure the dogs would run off, be injured etc. if not on a leash. However, I got used to the idea, and saw there was next to no traffic here, got used to the lay of the land, the amount of acreage etc., and most of my dogs have enjoyed off-leash walks for their entire lives, since. They do know how to walk on a leash, of course, but don't do it very often. They just go with whoever is outside.
Seeing the difference from the first part of my life, where my dogs were leashed outside of the yard, to the last cpl of decades, where the dogs have enjoyed walks, runs etc. off-leash, I can say with confidence that while leashed dogs don't know what they're missing, the dogs who get to cross back and forth, sniffing and running, climbing trees (yes, I've had them do that, too!), or jumping into the creek for a swim, do seem to me to have richer experiences overall. I hope that that happens for you one day, as it has for me!
