Ha! My dogs are ALL OVER whoever comes in.
If the person is known/trusted, then that includes Speedy. If the person is not known/trusted, then I actually keep Speedy back and make sure he's OK with the visitor before giving him a chance to greet. He'll bark in a rather startling manor if he's not comfortable with a visitor.
The other three would, as they say, lead a burgler to the china cabinet. If we had one, anyway!!
Speedy gets particularly riled when strange men show up. He usually acts like all women are his best friend, whether he knows them or not, but I have to watch him with strange men.
In any case, none of them hang back. They are all avid greeters.
