Collards have been my bird's favorite green, also! 
Are the store-bought ones conventionally grown?
Yes, everyone gets so much out of the fresh foods. It's imperitive for good health and long life, which in turns helps with attitude, and it definitely improves out human-bird relationships.
It's wonderful how well it's going! Please keep us posted!
