Put drops in one of my dogs eyes was a few years back when Tippi somehow ended up with a small bur in her eye (Queen Ann's Lace/Beggar's Lice). She was totally submissive. She was such a good girl and I think she must have known it was for the best. I'm sure that bur was very painful before the vet got it out. Her cornea was scratched and I know how painful that is. She would see me getting the drops and stay perfectly still while I was tending to her. 
I dread it if I ever have to put drops in Reagan's eyes. She's like a bucking bronco if you try to keep her still.
Poor Jet....I'm sure he's relieved when you finally make his eyes feel better.
