The wound was at least an inch long and was three conecting gashes that formed a W. I'm not sure what actually tore the area open from the corner of his lower eye lid into his cheek.
This morning I took a photo to compare to the first... I am so glad I opted for letting it heal naturally.
There is almost no scaring except for a line down his cheek that has less fur and is white in color. That area was where the wound wept fluid.
All that remains is a tiny bump of scab that he pays absolutely no attention to. I checked both of his eyes and they have normal moisture. Whew, glad for that.
They are his usual bright dark golden brown. Thank goodness his vision was totally unimpaired.
It will be interesting to compare the series of photos I've taken to ones, I will take in 6 months and in one year.
Thanks for your prayers for Charlies recovery. It appears to be an astounding success.
What a relief. 8-)
