Her dog became lethargic, and lost her appetite. When she began giving her less, her dog was eating fine again, and was up and playing, like she used to, before her health started failing. So far, so good, she's still in poor health, but her quality of life is sooo much better now, and the cbd is working fine with her prescription medication.
Side effects for people, and this is usually for higher doses, include:
Nausea, diarrhea, poor quality of sleep, fatigue, sleepiness or insomnia, loss of appetite, drop in blood pressure - which can cause light headedness, changes in blood sugar, and on rarer occasions - heart rate changes, changes of body temperature, pH levels, red cell volume in the blood, as well as the potassium and sodium levels.
The nice thing about it, is that cutting back on the dose corrects the side effects.
The problem with pets taking it vs. people, is that they can't tell us that they are dizzy, nauseas, or whatever. But, as pet moms, we already watch for changes in our critters, so would probably catch it.
That's one reason that they recommend starting at a low dose, and moving it up until you achieve your desired results. Today, in fact, is the day that I'm going to up Tango's dose a bit, and see what happens.
Yes, brands can vary in quality quite a bit.
I think that you are doing great! Your pups are lucky to have someone like you caring for them.
