I totally agree that we must support all out wildlife. Their balance is so out of wack. It is very scary. While at BOR my neighbors often talked about how the weather had changed. More of the women than the men.
Especially the elders in their 80s and 90s whose dhs were gone or unable to work. All I can say is thank goodness I am female.
This was only the second snake body I have found. Though butterfly bodies are often in my driveway and yard after a cold snap. I never retrieve them until I know they have passed.
I reall appreciate your safety concern. My OSHA training made me hyper vigilant. It drives my family crazy. But I'd rather be ridiculed then suffer bad action consequences. Living rural.... even the ants can kill you.
Just had a minor fire ant incident this week. Sneaky little devils.
I have only caught a glimpse of my uphill squirrel. Not at the feeders but in it's trees next door.
I feel guilty as that one is my favorite... what a thought... and relief was what I felt when I saw it. That is the one who climbs over my roof and is brave enough to stare me in my face while on the branch 4 feet from my backdoor. With me frozen in place as I opened it.
Right now I am thinking how all life is sacred...from the smallest to the largest. Humans are poor stewards of the Earths treasures.
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
