I’m Just a Little Cowboy
I’m just a little cowboy
A bucking bronc I’ve drawn
A stick horse named Rascal
He bucks but I hold on
One day when I grow up
A real pony I’m gonna ride
I’ll keep him at a trot
My six shooter at my side
A cowboy like my daddy
I hope someday to be
Tucks me in every night
And says a prayer for me
This horse my daddy rides
Is one he just drew
Riding broncs at rodeos
There ain’t nothing he can’t do
He bought me a real cowboy hat
And this stick horse I now ride
Told me I’m his little cowboy
I think he might have cried
Momma told me to say a prayer
Said my daddy he got throwed
Some mean old bronc named Rascal
No cowboy’s ever rode
I’m kneeling at my bedside
And saying my cowboy prayer
Just like daddy taught me
Lord I wished that I was there
I’m just a little cowboy
A few tears I’ve drawn
Lord take the reins and help me
I promise I’ll hang on
