Hello. I have tried to post on the Q... message board but was unable to get it through. This was what I was posting; could you please try on my behalf. I am in Liverpool UK and researching aspects of the Town Hall WW1 Roll of Honour:
"On the Roll of Honour (over 13,000 names) in Liverpool Town Hall which commemorates those whose lives were lost, there is the name of Private E.W.Qualtrough, 10th Battalion, the King's (Liverpool Regiment), the Liverpool Scottish. He is not listed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, not in the Liverpool Scottish book 'Bravest of Hearts'. His medal index card at the National Archives shows that his first name was Evan and his regimental number 2267, probably indicating that he had been a pre-war Territorial soldier.
I then found that the death of an Evan Qualtrough aged 23 was registered at St Asaph, North Wales, in 1916. I should be grateful for any information on this man."
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
