We reject and condemn racial division, that is, racial differences, national quarrels and disagreements in the Church of Christ, as being contrary to the teaching of the Gospel and the holy canons of our blessed fathers, on which the holy Church is established and which adorn human society and lead it to Divine piety. 2. In accordance with the holy canons, we proclaim that those who accept such division according to races and who dare to base on it hitherto unheard-of racial assemblies are foreign to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and are real schismatics."

my question is where did it come from and who sold it and how did that person obtain it? it is my perception that certain materials of historical interest have left their homes and have entered the market place because the original homes do not value such items and certain of their their employees know the antique market.
I would not be surprised whether this item was at the 2nd st. cathedral for years and that it along with many other items relating to our history may have been dispersed in to trade and not have been channeled to more suitable repositories -- this is just a perception -- and just a musing
