If I'm not mistaken, Kappadokya = Cappadocia, home of the Cappadocian Fathers, (big-T) Theologians, ie, the brothers St. Basil the Great and St. Gregory of Nyssa, and their friend St. Gregory the Theologian aka Nazianzen. Hence one reason for that region's importance to Orthodox, including would-be pilgrims.
